OUR PROCESS

We hand-harvest our plants and individually hang them up to dry in a clean, gently- ventilated, low-humidity indoor environment to prevent mold growth and environmental contamination.

After the plants are dry, we strip the oil-bearing flower and leaf portions from the stems and branches using skilled hand labor. We then extract the CBD-rich oil from the resulting dried plant material by means of a cold ethanol or supercritical CO₂ process. Both extraction methods provide "full spectrum" oil containing primarily CBD but also 80 or more other healthy cannabinoids, mostly in amounts so small that they are not routinely quantified in standard lab tests. In accordance with State and Federal regulations the THC content of our oil blends is less than 0.3%. YOU CAN'T GET HIGH!!!

All of our oils are “winterized” (to remove any heavy undesirable components such as waxes and fats), “decarboxylated” with a precise time/temperature cycle to assure purity of the CBD, and are then laboratory tested for content. The pure resulting oils are subsequently precisely diluted with fractionated coconut oil to the desired CBD concentration. We do not use any other additives.

CULTIVATION  We carefully cultivate our CBD-producing hemp plants at every step from planting to harvest. We inspect growing plants daily and hand water and remove weeds as necessary. We use only organic fertilizers. We plant female-clone plants exclusively to assure that only females grow to maturity, as only un-pollinated female plants produce significant amounts of CBD oil. During growth we test cuttings from our plants for CBD and THC content to insure that they are on their way to producing adequate CBD oil without exceeding the legal limit for THC.

HARVEST  We hand-cut our plants at harvest and hang them upside down to cure in our clean, well ventilated, indoor drying facility. The drying process requires two or more weeks. When the plant moisture content is low enough, we hand strip the flowers and leaves from the branches and store this dried plant material in sealed mylar bags until we are ready to have the oil extracted.

OIL EXTRACTION  Local specialty laboratories extract the natural plant oils from our dried plant material using either high-proof, food grade, cold ethanol or supercritical CO2. Both methods produce high quality oil. We then have our laboratories "winterize" and "decarboxylate" the natural oil for us so as to remove any waxes & heavy materials to prevent possible precipitation, and to convert the various natural cannabinoids, which are non-bioactive when first extracted, to their useful bioactive forms. The result is a high-strength, high-purity oil concentrate containing mostly CBD. DILUTION We precision-dilute our finished oil concentrate using organic fractionated coconut oil ("MCT"), which has high bio-compatibility, a neutral flavor, and long-term stability.

PACKAGING  We bottle our oil blends in a sanitary production environment using sterilized bottles and caps, and provide each bottle with a sterilized, separately packaged dropper. A heat-shrink cap seal is applied to each bottle’s cap to insure content integrity.  Finally, we label each bottle with an unambiguous, easy to read label.

SHIPPING Each bottle is individually wrapped with protective cushioning material and placed in a sturdy shipping container. We ship 6 days per week, and our standard order processing time is less than three days.
